Constitution

Ice Hockey NSW adopted the Model Rules of the Associations Incorporation Act 1984 as its Constitution at a Special General Meeting held on the 10th of December 2000, before the official 2000 AGM.

Amendments were made to the Model Rules at AGMs in 2001, 2003, 2006 and 2007 and form part of the IHNSW Constitution and include:

  • The staggering of election of the Committee - 2001 AGM;
  • Election of Ordinary Members to the Committee of Management from nominations put forward at each AGM, one nomination per club only, appointed at an AGM - 2001 AGM;
  • Club affiliation requirements - 2003 AGM By-Laws;
  • Child protection - 2003 AGM By-Laws;
  • Tribunal Process - 2006 and 2007 SGM By-Laws; and
  • State Team Representative selection - 2003 AGM By-Laws.

Insurance

Insurance cover is provided for all registered players, coaches, referees and administrators of the IHNSW for injuries caused solely by active participation in officially organised games, practice and training sessions, administrative and official functions, and travel directly related to those activities.

The insurance policy consists of:

  • Death and Disablement;
  • Professional Indemnity;
  • Public and Products Liability;
  • Loss of Income;
  • Student Assistance Benefit;
  • Household Help Allowance;
  • Parents Allowance; and
  • Medical Treatment.
