Penalties For Game Forfeits
Clubs are responsible for ensuring that their teams
play in all scheduled games. Failure to do so will result in a $400.00
(No GST) forfeiture fee for away teams. Home teams who forfeit must
pay a $200.00 (No GST), forfeiture fee.
This is to cover the cost of ice time, loss of gate
receipts and to act as a deterrent for any costs or inconvenience
caused to the other team and its supporters.
Procedure for forfeiture fees are as follows:
- Forfeit by a visiting team:
Any club that has been affected by a forfeit from a
visiting team must invoice IHNSW for $400.00 (No GST),
within 7 days of the game. IHNSW will then issue an invoice to the
offending club for payment within 30 days. Once the offending team's
club has paid the fee to IHNSW, the affected club will receive the
full invoiced amount, if it has already invoiced IHNSW for this.
Failure to pay the forfeit renders the club un-financial &
without voting rights. - Forfeit by a home team:
The visiting
team's club must invoice IHNSW for the amount of $200.00 (No
GST). The home team that forfeits the game will be invoiced by IHNSW
for $200.00 (No GST), which will then be forwarded to the
away team, once an invoice is received from that club.
The
home team club remains responsible for any ice costs.
IHNSW
will not make payment directly to rinks with respect to forfeited games.
Any referee payments made regarding forfeited games
that IHNSW is not responsible for, will be included in the team
fees of the offending team at the end of the season team fee adjustments.
